Boarding
Our volunteers provide a safe place for pets to land during these times of transition- and that role is absolutely crucial to our mission.
We are looking for both traditional boarding facilities, as well as foster homes to join our network of support for those fleeing domestic violence. As a volunteer, you will be matched with pets and families that need your services.
For boarding facilities, most pets stay only a week before being moved to a longer term solution like a foster home, but sometimes, pets need a safe place at your facility for up to a month. Praline’s Backyard Foundation covers the cost of boarding the animal.

Fostering
Foster families provide a critical bridge for pets and their humans who are starting over. With the information from our foster form, we will match you with pets that we think may do well in your home. Fostering can be as short as one week or as long as 6 months. You let us know what you are able to commit to and we will work with you and the family to ensure everyone’s comfort and compatibility.
As a pet foster, you’ll have the opportunity to provide a temporary home for a pet in need, giving them the love, care, and attention they deserve. Our network of pet fostering programs across the country offers a range of services, including support and resources for pet fosters, regular check-ins, and assistance with medical care and supplies.
